The category that impressed judges the most. All commented on the level of sophistication in the marketing departments' work and noted that departments were now influencing portfolios and helping to steer institutions. Hugely impressed by the Birkbeck submission, judges felt the character of the university shone through the submission and that the department had travelled a great distance in a short time.
